Here’s how we’ll do it.
We are following the latest government advice to self-isolate if we’re experiencing any Coronavirus symptoms (this may mean that some appointments are changed last minute, we’re working hard to minimise this)
Before your appointment
When you book, we’ll ask if anyone in your home:
has Covid-19 symptoms
is shielding or vulnerable
Please provide a mobile number so that we can text with your appointment details. If anything changes in your circumstances please give our office a call to rearrange or cancel.
Your estimator/fitter will also call on the day of your appointment to see if there have been any changes in circumstances. If we try calling on 2 separate occasions on the day and we are unable to contact you, we may cancel the appointment. (We are trying our best to help all customers but with limited travel time due to extra cleaning protocols.)
During your appointment
Our estimator/fitter will follow the latest guidance and will:
wash or sanitise their hands before entering your home – and at regular intervals during the appointment when deemed necessary.
keep at least two metres away from you at all times. The will ask everyone in your home to do the same for them – ideally by staying in a different room
wear disposable or protective gloves as appropriate during the job
wear plastic over shoes
they may put on a mask and/or face shield
they will wipe down any surface they have touched before leaving
If a job requires two fitters, they’ll only come together for tasks that need two pairs of hands and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when they are not able to keep two metres apart.
Where you can, please open doors and windows to ensure the maximum possible ventilation throughout the property whilst our estimator/fitter is in your home.
If you could clear a path and give us easy access to the working area without us having to move anything such as ornaments, furniture or any other items on or close to the window, in order to reduce the time we spend in your home
If anyone in your home is shielding, our will take extra precautions, including wearing goggles and a respirator mask.
If you’ve told us that anyone in the property has Covid-19 symptoms we will not be able to carry out your appointment and will suggest other outcomes (either us to offer DIY service or arrange a new appointment once the time is right and safe to do so at a later date)
Our Showroom/ Factory
Our new showroom hours are Monday to Friday 10-4 and Saturdays on a week to week basis
We will be wearing face masks so we would appreciate it if our customers could do the same unless you have a medical exemption. If there is a customer in the showroom when you arrive then please wait outside until they have left the showroom.
Extra visitors will be asked if they could wait in their car or call back if there is someone present in the showroom or there is another customer booked in for an appointment.
A 2 meter safe distancing policy will apply at all times and there will be hand sanitising facilities at the entrance to the showroom which all customers must use. Staff will also have hand sanitising facilites upon their entrance to the showroom..
Displays will be cordoned off. If you would like to know how the blinds operate then please aska staff member and they will demonstrate it for you.
As you might expect, we'll be doing extra scrubbing, cleaning, and sterilising to make the whole showroom/factory as safe as possible for you.
